Terms & Conditions

1. About Throwr and These Terms

Throwr ('we', 'us', 'our') operates an online platform at throwr.co.uk offering skill-based prize competitions and paid-entry prize draws for darts enthusiasts. These Terms & Conditions ('Terms') govern your use of the website and your participation in any raffle or competition. By accessing the site or entering any draw, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update these Terms at any time; the date of the most recent revision appears at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

To enter any raffle or competition on Throwr you must: (a) be at least 18 years of age; (b) be a resident of the United Kingdom; and (c) not be an employee, director, agent or immediate family member of Throwr or any associated company. By entering you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request proof of age and identity at any time and to disqualify any entrant who cannot provide satisfactory evidence.

3. Skill-Based Competitions

Our competitions are free to enter and require a correct answer to a darts-related skill question. Because entry is free and requires the exercise of skill, these competitions do not constitute a lottery or gambling activity under the Gambling Act 2005. There is no purchase necessary to enter. One entry per person per competition. Entries are non-transferable. The winner is selected by random draw from all valid entries (those with a correct answer) after the closing date. A postal route of entry is available free of charge — to request details please contact us via the Contact page.

4. Paid Prize Draws (Raffles)

Paid-entry prize draws require the purchase of one or more tickets at the price clearly displayed on each raffle page. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law or where a raffle is cancelled by us. The draw is conducted using a cryptographically secure random number generator (Node.js crypto.randomInt). The draw is final and binding. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a raffle at any time; in such cases all ticket holders will receive a full refund to the original payment method within 10 working days.

5. Consumer Cancellation Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel digital purchases. However, by completing the checkout process and purchasing raffle tickets, you expressly request that the service begins immediately and acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once the ticket purchase is confirmed. This does not affect your statutory rights where a raffle is cancelled by us.

6. Prizes

Prizes are as described on the relevant raffle or competition page at the time of entry. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated otherwise. We will contact winners by email within 5 working days of the draw date using the email address provided at entry. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 28 days of our first notification, we reserve the right to re-draw and award the prize to an alternative winner. Prizes are subject to availability; if a specific prize becomes unavailable we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

7. Payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We do not store your card details on our servers. By completing a purchase you confirm that the payment method used is yours and that you have sufficient funds. In the event of a fraudulent or disputed payment we reserve the right to void the associated ticket(s) and disqualify the entrant.

8. Responsible Play

We are committed to promoting responsible participation. Our services are for entertainment purposes only. If you feel your participation is becoming problematic, please visit our Responsible Play page or contact GamCare at gamcare.org.uk or 0808 8020 133. We reserve the right to restrict or close accounts where we have concerns about a user's wellbeing.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not: (a) use automated tools, bots or scripts to enter draws or access the site; (b) attempt to manipulate, hack or interfere with the draw process; (c) use false or misleading information when entering; (d) enter on behalf of another person without their knowledge; or (e) engage in any conduct that is unlawful, harmful or offensive. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant and void any tickets where we reasonably suspect a breach of these rules.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, is the property of Throwr or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any content on this site without our express written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Throwr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the site or participation in any raffle or competition, including loss of profits, loss of data or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any raffle or competition shall not exceed the total amount you paid to enter that specific draw. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By entering a raffle or competition you consent to us publishing your first name and general location (e.g. city or county) in winner announcements on the site and our social media channels. We will never publish your full name, address or contact details without your separate written consent.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to us in writing so that we have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to refer disputes to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme.

14. Contact Us
